Meet the Team

Dr. David Spivey

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Spivey received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hendrix College in 1987 and his DDS degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Dentistry in 1992. He completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UTHSC in 1996 and attained board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2002.

Dr. Spivey and his wife, Ronda, have been married for over 30 years. They have three grown children: Kathryn Paige is a Veterinarian, Hannah is a graduate student at Boston University pursuing a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, and Reed is an Equities Research Analyst for a private investment bank in Little Rock. Dr. Spivey is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro and also volunteers his time with Interfaith Dental Clinic and Boy Scout Troop 398. He is a member (and former President) of the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club.  In his spare time, Dr. Spivey enjoys hiking, camping, canoeing, and playing golf. He and Ronda also love to cook together and travel.

Katie 

Office Manager

Katie joined our team in 2024 as our office manager. She is a Murfreesboro native and has been married to her husband for 9 years. They have a son named Ben and a dog named Nya. Her favorite thing to do outside of work is quilting. Katie graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelors degree in healthcare management. Katie has a very strong faith and loves to help others. Katie is passionate about serving others and making sure everyone who comes in the office feels welcome.  

Marketing Coordinator

Ronda has been married to Dr. Spivey since 1990 and has been helping out with the practice in various ways since 2003. She currently serves as the office Marketing Coordinator. Ronda received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hendrix College in 1989 and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Nashville School of Law in 2019. She is currently a Licensed Attorney in the State of Tennessee.  She and Dr. Spivey have three grown children: Kathryn Paige is a Veterinarian, Hannah is a graduate student at Boston University pursuing a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and Reed is an Equities Research Analyst for a private investment bank in Little Rock.

Ronda is an active member of First United Methodist Church and serves on the Stones River Advisory Council and Development Board of Project Transformation Tennessee. She is also a member of the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, sewing, and working crossword puzzles, as well as traveling with Dr. Spivey. 

Patient Care Coordinator 

Mary Ann joined our team in 2025 as a Patient Care Coordinator. Originally from Chicago, IL, she moved to Murfreesboro from St. Augustine, FL in 2016 with her husband. She loves spending time away from work with her husband Jim and daughter Peyton. She loves to read books, and craft in her spare time.  Her positive attitude and caring nature for others enhances our patient’s experience. Her laugh and bright smile brings the office joy and make our patients feel at welcome. 

  Taylor

Patient Care Coordinator

Taylor joined our team as a patient care coordinator in 2024. Her daughter, Riley is the light of her life. She has two precious fur babies, Pepper and Eve. Taylor has a passion for dentistry and a strong faith. She loves making people patients feel seen, heard, and valued. Taylor loves to laugh, make special memories, and add a little fun to every day. 

Aisha
Insurance Coordinator

Aisha joined our team in 2026 as an insurance coordinator. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves crafting, music, and trying new things. She takes pride in making sure every patient feels confident about their coverage and care.  

Charla

Surgical Assistant

Charla began her career with Murfreesboro Oral Surgery and Implant Center in December of 1997.  She received her Registered Dental Assistant certification at Tennessee Technology Center in Murfreesboro in September of 1997.  She completed her Oral and Maxillofacial anesthesia assistant certification in 1999.  She enjoys spending quality time with her family and  3 beautiful children.  She loves listening to patients, which helps them have a great experience.

Amy

Implant Coordinator

Amy joined the Murfreesboro Oral Surgery and Implant Center team in 2007 as a Surgical Assistant. In 2021, Amy took on a new role in the practice as Implant Coordinator! She received her Registered Dental Assistant and Certified Dental Assistant training and certification in 2006. She then went on to complete her Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia Assistant certification in 2008. Amy has a wonderful husband, Jason, and a son, Arthur. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, live music and outdoor adventures. Amy loves the challenge of making a nervous patient feel at ease.

Francesca
Surgical Assistant

Francesca joined our team as an experienced oral surgical assistant in 2022.  She relocated from the Northeast and is originally from Germany.  She enjoys exploring new quaint places and being with her four furry little friends Foxy, Chin Chin, Bongo, and Eva.  Francesca takes pride in what she does and enjoys the experience with each and every patient. 

Brianna

Sterile Technician

Brianna joined our team in October of 2022 as our Sterile Technician.  She received her Registered Dental Assistant training in early 2022.  Bri and her fiance, Kyle,  share two children, Kianni and KJ.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her children, taking them to the park, and simply enjoying time with her family.  Understanding the importance of her role, Bri takes special care to insure all patients receive the best surgical care possible.
