Background Information
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires a minimum of four additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Spivey manages a wide variety of problems related to the mouth, teeth and facial regions with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal. His expertise includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. He can also diagnose and treat oral lesions, facial pain, facial injuries, and facial fractures.
Surgical and Administrative Staff
The surgical staff at Murfreesboro Oral Surgery and Implant Center are caring, experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who assist in IV sedation and office based surgical procedures. Patients are continuously monitored during and after their surgical care. All staff are CPR certified. Dr. Spivey is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
The administrative personnel are well versed in dental and health insurance processing so they can help you with filling insurance claims. They are also skilled at helping with reimbursement issues that can arise from time to time.
